Dungeons & Dragons game nights. Kickball and games with your work friends. Yoga and guided meditation live over Zoom. Divine relaxation in a float tank. Trivia. Tai chi classes. These are just some of the Wellness perks our team members have enjoyed.
Note: In-person activities are available when they can be done safely, based on health guidelines. When in-person options are not available or safe for Revelers, we offer virtual experiences instead.
About the Program
Our Wellness program has a clear purpose: to support the well-being of each individual and build community in the workplace. It’s not just diet and exercise. We offer perks to support the physical, emotional, financial, social, career, community, environmental, and creative dimensions of well-being.
“The best part of my job is that Revelry allows me to dedicate 100% of my time to providing Wellness perks to our team. Wellness isn’t something our HR team does on the side when they have a break from their core duties. Revelry invests its resources in taking care of its employees, and I’m so grateful to our leadership team for it.”
– Avery Jolly, Wellness Coordinator
All Revelers receive the same Wellness perks regardless of where they call home. If you can’t make a Wellness event in person, join virtually. And if you can’t join an event in-person event because you are based elsewhere in the United States, Revelry will do our best to provide you with the equivalent in your hometown. For example, Revelry subsidizes your registration for a social sports league if you can’t join Revelry’s team in New Orleans.
“I’ve been exposed to lots of different things, including different cooking skills and dishes, better exercise techniques, massages, and stress relief. All of these are just positive benefits to my mental health, and I’m so glad to have them.”
– Gregory Garcia, Software Engineer
10 Favorite Wellness Perks
1. Subscriptions to Calm, Masterclass, and others
“I use the Calm app to help bring focus to my day, both personally and professionally. It helps me clear my mind and learn how to better deal with stress, and it makes me both a more balanced person and a more productive employee.”
– Amy Murphy, Front-End Designer
2. Personal training sessions
“Went to my first personal training session yesterday. That guy is awesome!”
– Daniel Andrews, Software Engineer
3. Wellness items for our home workspaces
“Having a Theragun in the office was a game-changer for those moments when you realize you have been sitting too long and need to loosen up the body. If the body doesn’t feel good, the brain can’t make the magic happen.”
– Maxwell Walters, VP, Partner Accounts
4. In-person and virtual social gatherings, like game night
“Game nights are not to be missed. What could be better than crushing (usually losing) at Catan or more thrilling than winning (usually losing) the Murder Mystery Party? I thought I liked my co-workers before; once I happened to know the atomic weight of uranium when they didn’t, I liked them even better!”
– Stuart Page, Software Engineer
5. Virtual and in-person cooking classes
“Pan-roasted halibut with hazelnut and roasted red pepper relish from America’s Test Kitchen cooking school. So good! That cooking school is legit. Already looking forward to the next meal we do.”
– Dan Murphy, Front-end Designer
“We did an awesome cooking class at the New Orleans School of Cooking where we learned how to make some creole dishes. The whole experience was a lot of fun, and I still use the recipes they gave us.”
– Luke Ledet, CTO
6. Things like yoga and massage
“Ashiatsu massage was not something I was ever very familiar with and something that I doubt I would have sought out on my own. It turned out to be the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I left feeling more relaxed and less tense than I had in years, and I’ll definitely be going back for more.”
– Kamrin Kennedy, Software Engineer
7. Group volunteering
“It was so enriching being able to get together with fellow Revelers to help with the reforestation of New Orleans with SOUL. Values alignment and doing something positive for the community is enough to make your heart sing!”
– Jess Richmond, Software Engineer
8. Tarot readings
“Thanks so much for the Tarot Reading – She is amazing!!!!! – definitely would like more of that.”
– Robert Weilbaecher, Software Engineer
9. Arcade nights
“I really appreciated that Avery took the time to organize a game night at a local arcade. As a parent of young children, I am grateful to work for an employer that offers family-friendly networking opportunities.”
– Flora Petterson, Digital Marketing Manager
10. Having a dedicated Wellness Coordinator
“Having Avery as a consultant has been a game-changer. I was trying to run 5k’s and get into shape, and through training sessions with Avery, I figured out a lot of things I was doing wrong. I changed the way I run so now I do it correctly. I also ask him nutrition questions, and I value it a lot. I try to take advantage of having Avery as a resource. “
– Steve Achord, Front-end Designer
Wellness is Funded and Encouraged
These are only a few of our favorite examples from the program. Activities are not required or forced team-building events, and we make clear that wellness is done FOR employees, not TO them. We are dedicated to supporting this program and making it better.
Offerings are always changing with team feedback. If you are interested in joining our team, we can’t wait to hear about your ideas, too.
