Crystal Adkins

Senior software engineer Crystal Adkins graduated with a degree in information security and network administration in 2014, but didn’t realize until about a year later that she had a passion for coding. This passion led her to complete a bootcamp with Eleven Fifty Academy that catapulted her into a new career - and she hasn’t stopped coding since. While Crystal enjoys spending her time as a product developer coding in Elixir – her primary language since 2018 – she has also spent time creating a coding curriculum and teaching Android development in Java to high school students. Diverse experiences like these have given her exposure to and expertise in Elixir, Java, Kotlin, and React Native (Javascript/Typescript). Crystal has called Kentucky home for her entire life. After having spent many years in Louisville, she recently relocated to the eastern part of the state. Outside of work, she can be found spending time with her two kids; at her daughter’s archery practices/tournaments; or playing video games.
