About Stuart Page
Stuart joined the Revelry team in April, 2021. He was born and raised in the UK, and through fate or accident has ended up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He studied American History, Literature and Culture at Nottingham University, and went to study at Texas A&M for a year in 2012. There he found both his future wife and a life-long love of all things Aggie, before returning to the UK to complete his degree in 2014 ( and a graduate degree in Psychology in 2016). Stuart's trajectory towards Software Engineering hasn't been straight-forward: he's worked as an Assistant Psychologist, IT support engineer, Behavioural Technician for kids with ASD, financial customer support and medical secretary. Stuart started coding in his spare time in Python, inspired by both his friends and curiosity about how the hell things actually work. He graduated from the local Tech Talent South bootcamp in 2021, where he learned Java and C#, as well as Revelry's apprenticeship program - where he learned everything else (HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Elixir). He currently lives with his wife and cat, and spends his time making and breaking code, as well as playing the ukulele (badly) and playing video games (really badly). "My favourite thing about working at Revelry is the apprenticeship program - It's unique and awesome and just a wonderful way help people fulfill their ambitions of becoming Software Engineers."
