A Recap of Revelry in 2014

As we ramp up full throttle into 2015, we want to take a moment to reflect on 2014, a year of exciting projects, incredible growth, good times, and accomplishing much more than anyone thought possible. Here’s a glance at some of our favorite milestones and moments from the past year.

Number of
new employees: 8

Adding these fantastic 8 developers, designers, and a sales VP last year brought us to a total staff of 12. We’re now at 14, which happens to the be same age that our founders, Gerard and Joel, first started coding. We won’t share how many years ago THAT was, but let’s just say it’s over 20.

We’re a committed crew.

So much, in fact, that we average over

Per Day

We also checked; we’ve written over 300,000 lines of code since our founding, which is over 57 miles! That’s almost the distance between the Superdome and LSU’s Tiger Stadium!

Even a small teamcan make a huge impact.

Revelry jumped into its largest project ever this past year: Maritant. In combination with founder and CEO, Chris Stuckey, we successfully secured Series A financing in the fall and will revolutionize the maritime industry!

We’ve expanded across the country

Last year, we added clients in NYC, Denver, San Francisco, Palo Alto and Philadelphia. We’re also working on opening a satellite office in Los Angeles as well as expanding internationally into Central and South America this year.

…but home is where the heart and most of our work is.

Revelry is proud to be based in New Orleans, and loves being integrated in this thriving, dynamic community. This year, we launched our inaugural event Nola.io, bringing together 100+ entrepreneurs, technologists, marketers, business owners and friends for a night embracing entrepreneurship with a unique NOLA spirit. The foundation of our business remains with companies here in New Orleans and the Southeast, including Maritant, Entrescan, Werkly and more.

And some of our ventures were our own!

We are committed to creating our own products and tools. This year alone, we dedicated 624 working hours on internal ventures, or 26 days. In those 26 days we produced an e-commerce platform – OnePageSale, A mobile app – DinnerMode, along with several other tools that help us secure new clients and create beautiful software. (And no, we didn’t count “getting coffee at our favorite cafe, Wakin’ Bakin’, as an ‘internal venture’. And although not a “venture” per se, we collectively spent 180 hours guzzling coffee at our favorite café. Adam is the coffee consumption leader, with an average of 20 cups per week.

Speaking of work/life balance, half of our employees go home to our four legged friends.

The Revelry family extends to include 8 dogs, 1 fish and – according to Robert – “two dumb cats.” (But aren’t those the best kind?)

Do you whistle while you work?

We do…or at least hum while we code. Every employee shared that they listen to music while cranking on code and designing your sites.

The future is bright… Don’t worry, we’ve stocked up on shades.

This helps, since New Orleans has 219 sunny days on average. This also helps since 2015 is shaping up to be our best year yet. We also recently relaunched our own website.. (We’re taking on new business, so you should get in touch!) And we’re continuing to expand the team, our offering and our office. We’ve already moved into four new rooms and are planning to move into a new space soon.

From our team to yours, here’s to a fabulous, fruitful, and incredible Twenty FIFTEEN!

We hope to see you at the 2015 Revelry Classic!
